Napa: Napa Valley is only 30 miles long and a few miles wide, but home to diverse microclimates and soils uniquely suited to the cultivation of a remarkable variety of fine wine grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon. Napa Valley’s two mountain ranges shape the region’s unique geography. The Vaca Range, which forms the valley’s eastern boundary, shields Napa Valley from the high heat of the Central Valley, while the Mayacamas Mountains separate Napa Valley on the west from the cooler, marine influences experienced in neighboring Sonoma County.
